632 on Hudson
Originally built in 1847 as a townhouse for the family of a sashmaker, 632 Hudson Street was converted to a general store and produce market late in the 19th century by Hugh King, whose name appears on the pediment.
Purchased by the Esteve family in the 1930’s, the building became home to an import export business and chorizo sausage factory, which it remained until 1992.
In that year the present owner acquired the building, restoring and renovating it over a period of twenty years which led to its present incarnation as the private event space 632 on Hudson.
Arhaus stores are compelling, inspiration-filled environments—each an average of 20,000 sq. ft.—showcasing one-of-a-kind handcrafted home furnishings reflective of a distinct global point-of-view. Arhaus collaborates with skilled artisans to craft its many exclusive collections, which are complemented by timeless upholstered pieces (slipcovered, leather and custom-ordered), indoor and outdoor dining, bedroom furniture, and more. Made of the world’s finest materials, products are then presented in dramatic lifestyle settings using architectural elements embellished with hand-painted murals and fresh botanicals. What does it mean to be “green”? At Arhaus, it means working with artisans who share our earth conscious values and use renewable and recycled materials when making pieces for our stores. Sustainable without sacrificing style, Arhaus brand furnishings are made with everything from recycled glass and copper, to reclaimed wood and timber, like Bamboo, Mango and Teak, grown for the sole purpose of building. And unlike other retailers, Arhaus’ commitment to conserve dates back to 1986 when John Reed founded the business and quickly vowed to never use woods from the world’s endangered rain forests.

Arhaus is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.
