Creating beautiful interiors is a labor of love for Karen Arpino Interiors. Her interest in design has been a lifelong passion beginning with her early training and degree in Fashion Merchandising at FIT. She also earned her BA in English Literature at Queens College. After a decade on Wall Street, Karen went back to her true passion for design and did further training in Interior Design at the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design. She began her career working for a well known North Shore designer, and then went on to establish her own business 9 years ago. Karen was recently honored with an award given at the Holiday Mansion Seats & Settings Showhouse at Mill Neck Manor and she is an Allied Member of ASID.

Services include, project management for remodeling and new construction, space planning, design, furnishing, lighting, painting, faux finishes, and accessorizing. From one room to entire houses, Karen Arpino Interiors melds the personalities, lifestyle and budget of the homeowners into beautiful, comfortable homes and interiors. Karen believes that any interior design project should be enjoyable both during and after the project. She believes in understanding her clients, establishing their needs and lifestyle, and integrating their personalities into beautiful interesting homes that combine function and beauty with a timeless elegance. Karen has worked extensively in many affluent communities from Great Neck to the East End of Long Island and Westchester. Her style and deep personal interest in her clients satisfaction makes her very sought after as an interior designer.

Awards & Publications

This East Hills kitchen appeared in House Magazine May / June 2008 issue. Custom European lighting, limestone floor, custom finished barstools with fabric & trim to match window treatments.

At the Mansions & Millionaire’s Holiday Seats & Settings Show which ran from November thru December 2008 at the Mill Neck Manor, Karen Arpino won the award for Best Representation of a Character. This appeared in “The Boulevard” magazine Feb/March 2009 issue

Distinction Magazine ran a feature story about the Designers Showcase’ 08 at Mill Neck Manor. In this Master Bathroom Karen Arpino Interiors designed the window treatments, lighting , mirror, accessorizing, furnishings and faux painting for Tile By Design.
