BIOGRAPHY

Rio de Janeiro native Celia Berliner, Principal and Visionary at her firm - Celia Berliner Design,LLC - is an accomplished New York City based Interior Designer with a very unique background. With a refined sensibility for style and a lifelong passion for arts, architecture and design, she left a long and successful career in international banking to pursue her calling in interior design. An engineer with an MBA , she expanded her education at the New York School of Interior Design, graduating in 2000 with the highest distinction.

A broad view on life , extensive world travels and a holistic orientation via Feng Shui and Yoga, enrich and illuminate the unique, elegantly modern and timeless contemporary homes she creates for her cosmopolitan clientele.

Celia Berliner offers creative solutions that balance function and form with high standards of craftsmanship. Her design approach observes the relationships between energy, people and their environment.

As a self-described perfectionist, Celia personally sketches, draws and is involved in every step of the creative process, in all phases until the project's completion. Her meticulous attention to detail reveals the strength of her commitment to the client's personal style, preferences and needs.

Celia is passionate about her work and believes in improving people's lives aesthetically and experiencially through great design; a person's home is meant to provide a high level of comfort and well being as well as promote peace and inspiration. That is accomplished with a clear spatial organization, use of the latest technologies, thoughtful and informed choices of colors, textures and materials, careful selection of furniture and furnishings in the right proportions and shapes and skillful lighting solutions.
