For over twenty five years, Barbara Ostrom Associates has transformed residences of a number of prominent clients, including former President and Mrs. Richard Nixon, New Jersey Senator and Mrs. Gerald Cardinale as well as Russell and Kimora Simmons.
A graduate of New York University, New York School of Interior Design and from Pratt Institute, Barbara received a master's degree in interior design. She also received a graduate degree in Classic European Architecture from the Sorbonne in Paris. She serves on the advisory board of the New York School of Interior Design.
Barbara Ostrom has served on the Board of Directors and chaired many committees for ASID. She regularly lectures at all of the New York City Design Colleges and is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Interior Design. She is also a member of The Decorator's Club in New York City.

She recently appeared on NBC Morning News to walk through a current Saddle River project.
This October, Design New Jersey, New Jersey Magazine and 201 Magazine listed Barbara Ostrom Associates at the finest interior design firm in the state.
The Robb Report selected Ms. Ostrom at the 2004 Designer of the Year for a kitchen she designed in Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
Both House Beautiful and House & Garden Magazines have included her firm in their prestigious list as one of the top 100 designers in the United States. Her work has been published in over 50 books.
Barbara is regarded as on of the nation's leading experts in the design of classical moulding and architectural detailing and regularly consults with builders of high end residential and commercial installations.
With over 40 showcase houses to her credit, Barbara is a well-known and respected veteran in the design community. She regularly appears in the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club showcase in New York City as well as the prestigious houses in the Hamptons.
