Designer Profile
Pedro Lima has over ten years experience as an Interior Designer, specializing in both residential and commercial interiors. Work has ranged from architectural construction and renovation, to furniture, product, and showroom design. Currently Pedro is working with Eastern Knots, a Tibetan rug factory in Nepal, to design his own private collection of hand knotted Tibetan rugs.
Pedro's approach is conceptual, yet practical, infusing color and style for exciting and innovative spaces.
Pedro is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designer (ASID), as well ASID NY Metro Chapter President for the New York Metro Chapter through October 2010.
He is a Certified Interior Designer (CID) in New York State, and has passed the NCIDQ exam. Pedro teaches studio design courses for the Art Institute of New York City, located in Tribeca, as well as commercial/residential construction online studio courses for various colleges.
Pedro's work has been seen on HGTV's Mission: Organization, and can also be seen on DIY's hit new show Sweat Equity. He has been published in various magazines, and has been quoted by various design periodicals.
Pedro hold a BFA in Interior Design from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and is currently working towards his MFA in Interior Architecture and Design.
