A new wood floor was installed with an espresso stain and four coats of polyurethane.
The kitchen was opened up into the living/ dining area to give it a fluid and airy feel.
Contrast was key in this California residence.

Foshay Design Custom Designed Dining Room Table -

The heart of this table is an actual imported mangrove root system from the Philippines, which sits inverted on a forged steel base. The forged steel has an oxidized finish with protective wax. The base was hand-made by a a metal worker creating an “organic” looking structure following the natural lines of the roots. On top of the roots sits a circular, clear glass top with flat polished edges. The table stands 30 inches tall. The glass top is 68 inches in diameter and ¾ of an inch thick.

This financial services company required a sperate space for their investor relations department. The company needed an inviting, elegant interior in which to meet with prospective clinets while remaining concious of cost due to a short term lease. The perimeter offices were faced by glass side lights, taking full advantage of the natural light coming from only one exposure. Hollow metal knockdown side lights and door frames were used in lieu of wood frames in order to adhere to the budget. A soft neutral palette was created of durable yet sophisticated furniture and materials.
