Ferne Goldberg, a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Interior Design. Immediately after graduation, she worked with Francois Catroux (named by Town and Country as one the top 10 designers in the world) at Didier Aaron, Inc. The projects she worked on included the quadraplex at the Galleria (57th and Lex), the 27th floor of the Sherry Netherlands and the Fifth Avenue apartment of Antenor Patino. At Welton Becket Architects, her projects included hotels in Bejing and Saudi Arabia and the U.S. Steel building. With Pamela Banker Associates, a residential design firm, she worked on apartments for the Mellon family, Secretary of the Treasury Michael Blumenthal and choreographer Pat Birch. In 1981 she opened Ferne Goldberg Interior Design and next year will be celebrating the company’s 30th anniversary. Her clients include Ken Wolfe, former producer of Monday Night Football; Ed Gottesman; Ed Rollins, advisor to Ronald Regan; Larry Kudlow of Kudlow and Kramer; Bruce Ratner, Forest City Ratner; Craig Foster, plastic surgeon; Tom Klingenstein; Leslie Samuels, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury under President Clinton, and Gloria Spivak. Publications in which her work has appeared include The New York Times, The Daily News, House Beautiful’s Home Remodeling and Kitchen and Bath Business.
