Designer Profile
Carl’s modernist sensibility applied to both contemporary and period design has been key to his success. In addition to having a large body of work published in the design press, Carl has been cited by both House Beautiful and Metropolitan Home as one of the Top Designers in America. He is a member of the Design Council for the Museum of Arts and Design, and serves on the Global Color Research Panel. Carl served on Benjamin Moore’s Design Advisory Council in 2005, 2006, and 2007 and was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 2007. He is a graduate of the School of Architecture of the City University of New York.
D’Aquino Monaco has completed residential projects throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida, and London. The firm was honored with international design awards for their Silver Rain a la prairie Spa in the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman and is currently working on residential projects on the East Coast, and the new Secret Harbour Resort in Grand Cayman.

Both Carl and his partner Francine were individually inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 2007.
